But romance readers and writers know there is more to romance than sex and fairytales.
There’s a journey.
There’s growth.
There’s doubt and heartbreak. There’s genuine emotion at its best and worst.
Romance readers and writers know that the HEA isn’t easily achieved. We know it’s not the ending. We know it’s only a small portion of the book. We root for it, we crave it, but we live every step of the journey and learn from it. At the end of the day, we’re passionate about something and no one should look down on someone who has a passion for something as joyful and beautiful as a love story.
